Within ISO/IEC SC 29 WG11 (MPEG) there = is a new=20 work going on called
Multimedia Application Format = (MAF) AdHoc=20 Group and its mandates are
to extend=20 the MPEG-4 file format to include MPEG-7 & MPEG-21 = metadata.
 
The near-term goal is to have MPEG-4 = file format to=20 include MPEG-7 metadata
so that it could embed the MPEG-7=20 equivalent metadata tags as to ID3 and EXIF
(digital pictures)=20 into the same MPEG-4 file container.
 
However, I'm not sure how = people/company can get=20 involve in the standard
process if they are outside the = standard=20 committee, but they are welcome
to join the=20 committee.

What do you want to do by using dummy application of XM = module?

 

if you wanna get MPEG-7 standard descriptors, you = don=E2=80=99t have to use dummy application.

If you wanna implement your own descriptor into XM = module, you can use dummy project or just copy sources of some descriptor and modify = them.

There is just a few source code which you mush modify = when you select to copy remained source and modify it.
